Croissant Neuf began, 21 years ago, in East Anglia - appearing at folk festivals and steam rallies with a tiny weeny little tent hosting late night acoustic music/cabaret sessions and selling croissants and coffee from our café.

And then, we had kids, and what a difference that makes to your life . . . don’t it just mums and dads!! – So we started doing more family events (in the afternoons when the ankle biters were asleep) and Croissant Neuf Circus was born.

Soon we reached the point where we had to choose how to power our lights and sound systems – and, because we have been life long fans of a clean world, we chose renewable energy rather than traditional generators.

That was 19 years ago and today we have the largest Solar powered sound and lighting rig in the world - it is so efficient that it takes less power to run than most hair driers.

We also run the Green Roadshow, which is a travelling Eco-Centre that sets up in parks and playing fields and shows people how important, and how much fun, being ‘green’ can be!

Our aim, with this event, (apart from having a damn good shindig) is to show people that renewable energy makes really good sense and, by using energy-efficient equipment wisely, that massive savings in consumption can be made – and how we can all move towards a sustainable future for our kids and ourselves.

This festival is our first (so please be kind if we don’t get it 100% right this time) and hopefully more will follow – we have worked with some amazing talents in the past 21 years and here at the ‘Croissant Neuf Summer Party’ we have gathered just a few of the most prestidigitationary practitioners of the sagacious arts for your indulgent delectation.
