Oscar Wilde once said “There is only one thing worse than being in the Croissant Neuf, in a field, in Wales - and that’s not being in the Croissant Neuf, in a field, in Wales!”

Global was formed in 1993 by ambient composer, Nigel Shaw, and ex Ozric Tentacles synth player, Tom Brooks. They immediately caused a stir on the underground dance scene with their highly charged performances. Over the past fourteen years they have performed at all the major festivals in the UK including WOMAD and the Glastonbury Festival.
Their music fuses ancient instruments from all around the world with techno grooves. Aboriginal didgeridoo blends with pulsing beats and Irish whistles soar over pounding drums.

The current line up of musicians is...
Brian Abbott ~ guitar and gliss guitar; Carolyn Hillyer ~ vocals and percussion; Shaun Farrenden ~ didgeridoo and percussion; Nigel Shaw ~ keyboards, flutes and percussion.

A nine piece band from Manchester at the cutting edge of the British Salsa scene with their new and exciting latin sound. They have combined their love for salsa music with inspired song writing, tight arranging, and incredible musicianship. English and Spanish lyrics intertwine over some seriously heavy grooves while the horns fill out with blazing riffs, mambos and solos. After their storming performance at Glastonbury 2005 we decided to invite them back to host our Masquerade Ball.

Dragonsfly are a vibrant union of acoustic musicians and stunning vocals with a medieval and contemporary folk influence. Their groove driven musical landscape is passionate, energetic, tender and entrancing, celebrating community and the spirit of the land, enchanting the audience to sing, dance and be stirred. They will also be running Breton Dance Workshops.

After playing for many years, trawling the venues of Britain and beyond, The Boat Band have picked up a huge and varied catch of tunes: Creole, Caribbean, Gospel, Cajun, Irish, Zydeco and Blues - not much slips through the net. If it can be played on accordion and fiddle (or trombone, washboard, trumpet, banjo etc), if it touches the heart and moves the feet, it’s in the repertoire.

A true testament to the efficacy of care in the community, this Talentless Troupe of Northern Nutters (who are still the only people in England ever to be issued with an A.M.B.O – Anti Musical Behaviour Order) bring a tear to the eye, a smile to the face and a warm sensation in the groin. One of Michael Eavis’ favourite bedtime drinks and certainly one of ours, Biggles systematically destroy any lasting remnants of taste and quality in their ruinations of popular musical classics. Nothing is sacred; they slaughter it all!

Three strapping hunks from Belfast who look like rock stars, sing like angels, and play like devils – the F.O.S Brothers just keep getting better and better which is why we’ve asked them to play for us yet again.

I defy anyone to remain seated after hearing the first tune from the Hucks – famous throughout the high streets and shopping malls of England for their high energy, foot grabbing, uplifting music – these marvellous minstrels have literally played to millions of people all over the UK.
The Huckleberries play Jigs, Reels and Bluegrass combined with traditional and contemporary dance rhythms.

This solo act weds hot fingerpicking with contemporary jazz ideas, Celtic harp like sounds with driving rhythms and in some settings combines classic technique with ambient electronics.

The UK's Premier Flatpick Guitarist. Chris's performances feature a variety of songs, audience participation, anecdotes and arrangements of Celtic, Appalation and Texas fiddle tunes. He also performs classical pieces by Handel and Mozart and self-written material on guitar, banjo and mandolin.

Nick spent 7 years training at a conservatoire in Rotterdam with some of the worlds Flamenco Grandmasters. We guarantee, even if you’ve never heard flamenco before, after hearing Nick play, and after you’ve dried your eyes, you will be a life time convert to this most emotionally uplifting and ancient Spanish art form.

Recently thawed from a block of ice, in which he’s been frozen for 40 years, DJ Cool Sun brings you the very best of the original 60’s soul classics. Better wear concrete boots ‘cos when the DJ spins those decks, yo feet are gonna get hexed!!

Nice…
