The Croissant Neuf Venues
The Big Top
A regular feature of Glastonbury Festival and the Big Green Gathering, Croissant Neuf’s big top “Solar Venue” is the heart and soul of the Summer Party.
Hosting three days of live music including The Beat, Steve Knightley and The Travelling Band, as well as Croissant Neuf favourites such as Biggle’s Wartime Band, and The Boat Band (on their 20th Anniversary Tour), the big top is Europe’s biggest solar powered venue boasting a 10 K.w. sound-system and full LED lighting rig - all powered by the sun.
Cafe Seren
Returning for the second time to CNSP, Reuben and JB will be hosting live music in their tented venue, providing lovely food, drink and “choc-tails” in the Cafe and for the first time at CNSP will have an array of films in their cinema tent. Choc-tail and a film? Sounds like a lovely way to end an evening!
All food at Seren is locally sourced and organic, the drinks are from fairly traded sources and the music is diverse and lively.
The Stagger Inn
CNSP’s onsite pub will be selling a selection of local and organic beers, wines and spirits including the exclusive “Croissant Neuf Summer Party Ale” - brewed especially for the festival - and only available on site.
There’ll also be pub quizzes, a skittle alley, darts, the occasional jam session and enough merriment to keep you smiling into 2010.
The Main Field
With beautiful views across the valley and a backdrop of lush green forest, the central field at Croissant Neuf Summer Party provides a wonderful space to sit with friends, take part in one of the many workshops and activities, or just enjoy a quiet pint from the Stagger Inn onsite pub.
In the main field this year:
The People’s Front Room
Following successful outings at music festivals around the UK, the People’s Front Room will be making their debut at Croissant Neuf this year, bringing their unique venue - a very well appointed living room, along with an ethos of impromptu jam sessions on everything from accordion to trumpet. Expect this to be a hub of late night sing alongs but just as equally suited to an early morning chill out.
The Campfire
At the centre of the festival lies the communal campfire, surrounded by hand carved benches, this is the place for sing-a-longs, sitting down with a stone-baked pizza, a morning coffee or just generally soaking up the atmosphere - and the views of the valley are great from here too!
The Dome
A new space to sit and relax at CNSP 2009 - exactly what it says - a dome tent, with some comfy seating. Workshops during the day - chill-out space at night
