How do I find the site?
When you purchase a ticket you will receive an email that has all the relevant information that you need. A postcode for the site – which can be used on Google Maps –is included in this email. Why not take a look at our Travel Info page for extra info?
Can we park next to our campsite to unload out tents and camping gear?
Unfortunately we cannot allow vehicles into the main camping area of our green festival site. However the campsite is extremely close to the car park and we provide wheelbarrows and trolleys to aid transport of equipment from the car park to the camping areas. We have barrow boys and girls on hand to help you get your belongings from the car to your desired camping space. If you require further assistance one of our members of staff will be more than willing to help, don’t hesitate to ask!
Only live in vehicles with the correct passes will be permitted into the campervan/caravan area
NB Blue Badge holders will be able to take vehicles to their camping area. If you have any further questions regarding access to the site please contact [email protected]
Can I arrive on Thursday?
Yes, our gates open to the public for camping from 2pm on Thursday 8th August. Please note that the gates are only open until 10pm each evening; please arrive before or we will not be able to allow access to site until the following morning. What is this year’s fancy dress theme?
Dressing up is always actively encouraged and this year is no different! Our theme this year is Medieval Merriment. So think Kings, Queens, rat-catchers, knights, damsels, wenches, chivalry and all things olde worlde. We also encourage dressing up in the sports and games- the perfect time to crack out those animal onesies. Sunday is unofficially Pyjama Day, feel free to join in if you feel like it!
How big is the festival?
Our family festival is an intimate boutique festival that has a warm family feel. We only allow 3500 people on site, which is a major factor in the incredibly safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Can I bring a dog?
Unfortunately no. The festival is held on a working farm with livestock nearby to the site. Anyone attempting to bring a dog or other pet (except genuine assistance dogs) to the site will be refused admission and asked to leave.
Can I leave the site during the festival?
We advise that once you’ve arrived you remain on site, as people leaving the site will cause unnecessary queues. We strive to provide everything necessary at the festival so you shouldn’t need to go leave. If however you need to leave we will obviously not stop you.
NB If you are leaving the site to purchase alcohol you may have your vehicle checked when you try to re-enter the site and excessive amounts of alcohol (especially in glass containers) may be taken off you. We have very well stocked bars on site with very selling award-winning real ale, quality local ciders, organic wines, lager and spirits and scrumptious cocktails all at very reasonable prices.
Can we have a BBQ or campfire?
Due to a request from the local authorities this year we must insist on a blanket ban on all of the following in the campsites (NB this also includes the campervan);
Campfires
Braziers
Fire pits
Paper lanterns
Flares and large candles
Anything of a similar ilk
There is a communal central campfire (link to What’s On, Other Attractions) in the main arena, please make use of this and don’t be tempted to start your own!
If you are bringing a BBQ we insist that you observe the following rules;
1. No BBQ to be used within a tent or caravan awning at ANY time, even if you think it has been extinguished it can still smoulder or reignite and is a serious carbon monoxide risk (Please read the following safety info)
2. Although we will allow BBQs we will not allow any other kind of fires. Do not turn disposable BBQs trays into fires. Doing so will jeopardise our licensing agreement
3. Proper camping stoves, used outside, are fine.
There is a central campfire in the main arena but for Health and Safety reasons we cannot allow any like this in the camping areas.
